A big "was" price proves nothing. Retailers in Canada can only advertise a regular price that the product genuinely sold at (the Competition Bureau calls it the "ordinary selling price"), but marketplace sellers stretch it all the time. So we check three things before a deal gets a good score.
Dates only when the retailer or a reliable report has published them. Price-match and holiday return rules, because they matter as much as the price.
Checked November 1. Retailers change these, so check the policy page before you rely on it.

Why 4.0: 50% off Amazon's list price, discounted for the inflated list.
C$629.99 C$719.99 13% off
Amazon.ca lists the P1S Combo at 714.64, sold by Amazon US, so Best Buy Canada is cheaper by about 85 dollars.
Why 4.0: About 12% off, the lowest I found in Canada, until 17 November.

Cameron owns this one. Amazon.ca shows 11% off the list price. Dreame Canada sells the same price at 309.99 and lists an app-only price of 279.99, which is lower but needs the Dreame app to buy.
Why 3.9: Small discount, but a model we have tested and the lowest price I found in Canada needs the Dreame app.

Lowest price we've tracked · Tracked since Oct 25: low C$999.99, high C$1,049.99 (3 checks)
An 85-inch mini-LED Fire TV for about $1,000, which is the cheapest route to a screen this big right now. It's a 2026 model with no testing to lean on yet, and Fire TV means Amazon ads on the home screen.
Why 3.8: Only 23% off a verified regular price on a brand-new model with no testing, but the price per inch is hard to beat and Best Buy sells it directly.
C$45.95 C$69.99 34% off
Tracked since Oct 25: low C$45.95, high C$45.95 (3 checks)
A gas-spring dual arm rated to 9 kg per screen from a Montreal retailer that ships from Canada. The $24 saving is shown on the product page. Check your desk has a clamp-friendly edge before ordering.
Why 3.5: A verified 34% off from a Canadian first-party seller, but a commodity product with no price history or outside testing.
Our read on each category, and the trap to watch for.
November is when last year's TVs are cheapest, because the new lineup arrives in spring and stores clear the old one. The outgoing model is usually most of the TV for a lot less money.
Watch for: Black Friday-only model numbers that look like a known TV but have a weaker panel or fewer HDMI 2.1 ports. Compare the full model number with the one reviewers tested.
TV reviewsGood laptops do get real discounts, but the cheapest doorbuster laptops are often configurations built for the sale: 8 GB of memory, small storage, a dim screen.
Watch for: 16 GB of memory as a minimum for Windows, the exact CPU generation, and screen brightness. If a deal hides the specs, skip it.
Computing reviewsRobot vacuums see some of the deepest discounts of the year, especially last year's flagships when the new ones are out. A two-year-old flagship often cleans better than a new budget model at the same price.
Watch for: The price of bags, pads and filters, and whether the dock is included. Check what it costs to run, not just to buy.
Best robot vacuums in CanadaThe big printer brands run their own Black Friday sales, and filament bundles can be worth more than the discount on the printer. Buy the printer you'd pick anyway, at the lowest price we've tracked.
Watch for: Bundles padded with accessories you won't use, and "combo" prices compared against a list price the printer never sold at.
Best budget 3D printer setupsThe big noise-cancelling headphones and earbuds regularly hit their yearly lows around Black Friday. If the pair you want is at the lowest we've tracked, there's little reason to wait.
Watch for: Older generations dressed up as new, and grey-market sellers on Amazon. Check that it's sold by the retailer or the brand.
How to choose noise-cancelling headphonesCurrent iPhones rarely get real price cuts at retail; most "deals" are carrier plans that lock you in for two years. Pixel and Galaxy phones do get proper discounts unlocked, and those can be worth it.
Watch for: Plan deals where the phone is "free" but the monthly price is higher for 24 months. Work out the full cost.
Should you upgrade your phone?Console prices themselves rarely move much. The value is in bundles with a game or a second controller, and in big discounts on games and accessories.
Watch for: Bundles with a digital code for a game you already own, and controllers sold by third-party sellers.
Gaming reviewsCameras, doorbells, speakers and streaming sticks get some of the steepest discounts of the season, especially the brands' own devices.
Watch for: Subscriptions. A cheap camera that needs a monthly plan for recordings isn't cheap. Check what works without one.
Smart home compatibility checklistMonitors and SSDs are reliably discounted around Black Friday. Graphics cards are the exception: discounts are small and stock moves fast.
Watch for: Refresh rates and panel types that don't match the model reviewers tested, and "open box" listings mixed in with new.

The rules that save more money than the discount does.
In Canada a store can only call something its regular price if most sales happened at that price or higher, or it was genuinely offered at that price for a substantial time, usually within the past year. The Competition Bureau warned retailers last November that inflated "was" prices are illegal and common on Black Friday. If you see one, screenshot it and report it with the Bureau's complaint form.
Competition Bureau Canada: Ordinary selling price ↗Countdown timers that reset, "only 2 left" warnings that never change, and "ends tonight" prices that last for weeks can all be misleading. If a store cancels your order at the sale price and offers the same item for more, keep your confirmation: the Bureau says that can be bait and switch.
Competition Bureau Canada: Fake sales and discounts ↗Most Canadian price-match policies exclude marketplace sellers, open box, refurbished and door crashers, and some exclude Black Friday itself (Memory Express, Apple, and Staples for special-event prices). Check the sale calendar above before you count on a refund later.
Memory Express: Price Protection (example of a Black Friday exclusion) ↗In Canada a store generally only has to take back defective items, so its own policy is what counts. Ask before you pay, keep the receipt, and get a gift receipt for presents, because without one many stores only give store credit.
Office of Consumer Affairs: Refund and exchange ↗Amazon.ca gives most purchases from Nov 1 until Jan 31, 2027 (Apple products Jan 15). Most other Canadian stores haven't posted their 2026 dates yet, and The Source doesn't take returns at all. Phones, Apple products and opened items often have their own rules.
Amazon.ca Return Policy ↗Look at "Ships from" and "Sold by" before you buy. Third-party sellers are covered by Amazon's A-to-z Guarantee for 90 days after delivery, but you have to contact the seller first, and a chargeback through your bank cancels your A-to-z claim.
Amazon.ca Help: What is the A-to-z Guarantee? ↗For courier shipments from the US, CBSA says up to CA$40 comes in free, CA$40 to CA$150 pays tax but no duty, and over CA$150 pays both. Couriers add their own brokerage fees on top. Check CBSA's page before a big order, and remember US warranties may not be honoured here.
CBSA: Increase to low-value shipment thresholds and other changes ↗Compare the plan's price with what a repair would cost, and check whether your credit card already extends the warranty. Read what's actually covered: some plans only cover parts or need an authorized repairer.
Office of Consumer Affairs: Warranties ↗Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026. Most Canadian retailers start early Black Friday sales in November, so many of the best prices are already available before the day itself.
Many are, some aren't. Under the Competition Act a store can only call something its regular price if most sales happened at that price or it was genuinely offered at that price for a substantial time, usually within the past year. Inflated "was" prices still show up, especially from marketplace sellers. That's why every deal here says whether we could verify the regular price and how today's price compares with the prices we've tracked.
Early sales start well before the day. When we last checked the calendar, no big Canadian chain had announced its 2026 dates, but last year Best Buy Canada started early deals on Nov 3, Walmart Canada ran weekly rounds from Nov 12, and Amazon.ca's Black Friday Week ran Nov 20 to Dec 1. Bambu Lab's Black Friday sale is already live. The sale calendar above is updated as retailers announce.
Its Low Price Guarantee matches authorized Canadian retailers and refunds its own price drops within 30 days of purchase, but marketplace, refurbished and limited-time offers don't qualify, and it doesn't say whether matching pauses on Black Friday weekend. If you buy early, keep the receipt and check the price again during the sale.
No. Amazon.ca has no price-drop refund policy. What it does have is a long holiday return window: most items bought from Nov 1 to Dec 31 can be returned until Jan 31, 2027, so if the price falls a lot you can return and rebuy.
For most tech, Black Friday is as good as it gets, and stock is better. Boxing Day can match some prices, but popular models sell out first. If a product you want is at the lowest price we've tracked now, waiting for Boxing Day is a gamble.
If the deal is at the lowest price we've tracked and the retailer offers price protection, buying now and claiming the difference later is the safer bet. Check the price match column in the sale calendar above.
We find deals on RedFlagDeals, Reddit and the retailers' own sales, check every price at the retailer ourselves, and score each one out of 10 for discount depth, price history, product evidence, seller and how long it lasts. Every score shows its reason. Some links are affiliate links; they're labelled and never change the score.
Each deal gets a 0–10 Deal Score: up to 4 points for the discount against a regular price we could verify, up to 2 for price history (is this the lowest it has been), up to 2 for product evidence (our own hands-on use, or named outside testing), 1 for a trusted first-party seller with normal returns, and 1 for how long the deal lasts. It is an editorial judgement, and every score shows its reason.
